About Me: Cara McCall
I have always been told I am a caring, almost as if I am a mother figure to my friends. I have also been told by many of my family members and old teachers that I am a driven and organized individual. Personally, I would agree that I am organized and driven. I enjoy being a caring person towards my friends and on the occasion to strangers. With these skills I believe I possess, I think I would succeed in my dream career choice as an Orthodontics.
Some other things that can contribute to my ability to be ready for a job such as an Orthodontist are the clubs and activities I participate in. Some clubs and activities I am involved in include:
1. Pre-Dental Honor Society
2. Smile Squad Honor Society
3. ECU Club Swim
4. Volunteering in various places such as the Human Society and within the biology department as a biology promoter
5. UA in training for the Biology/Chemistry department
6. Photography and drawing
These clubs and activities can contribute to my ability to excel in my chosen career in many different ways. Being in club swim, Pre-dental Honor Society, and Smile Squad Honor Society, and training to be a UA allows me to maintain my organization skills as well as keep my drive to do better maintained. More specifically, Pre-dental Honor Society and Smile Squad Honor Society definitely keeps me driven due to the fact that I have to maintain a certain GPA to stay in them. Training to be a UA and being in club swim teaches me to manage my time better and stay organized as well. Volunteering at the Humane Society and the biology promoters shows me to remain a passionate and caring person. Photography and drawing help with staying passionate as well, but drawing helps me with my manual dexterity. These qualities are required to help thrive in the dental field in my opinion. I have been told many times that organization, drive, and manual dexterity are important staples in and individual when applying to dental schools. Passion and drive are definitely important to stay committed to the long process it takes to become an Orthodontist.
